TRACKLIST:
I haven't quite figured out how to change a few things with the push of a button yet.......

I intend to update this page with time. More tapes, more songs, more neat things. Stay tuned.
Creation of the Music Dimension:
In the very beginning before I even started working on this page, I wanted to create a good music player for the right sidebar on my normal pages. Before the "choice tunes" were represented by an interactive radio, it was a youtube embed that looked really ugly and flooded my console with a ton of errors. This made working on solving issues really annoying! Obviously the solution was to create a music player of my own, drawing my initial inspiration from the first instance I'd ever seen of such a thing, Daniele's Website. Obviously it felt cheap to copy what he had going on though, so I looked into how to actually make buttons interact with a music player to find that making something more interactive was not at all off the table and in fact even easier than I expected, which led to the creation of the boombox.
It was simple enough to make a radio that play and pause a song, but I wanted to go deeper. That brought me to the idea of making MANY boomboxes, and on top of that creating a whole page dedicated to them. The idea at that point was to have like 3-4 boomboxes, each with their own style and theme to match the tracklist they held. They'd each display the current song they'd play if you clicked the play button and have buttons for skipping forwards and backwards. That's when it hit me that having multiple boomboxes didn't make any damn sense. The answer to how it should work was right there in front of me the whole time, the cassette player that was already built into the thing's design. I sketched up the the very first purple one and decided that's what the rest of them would be like from then on.
What was supposed to be a thing to do in the afternoon turned into a multiple day project that I couldn't stop expanding the scale of. Because you can't have a music page without a seekbar and a timer to track the progress of the currently playing song...
Then I thought maybe some songs might be too loud or too quiet so I added a volume bar.....
Then I decided having an interactive tracklist would make the page easier to use.......
Then I thought it might be fun to have a little TV display images related to the current tracklist............
This page has been an incredibly fun thing to work on and served as an excellent break from gaming to instead create something dedicated (partially) to gaming music instead!
